KORE RPO is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Special Education Attorney to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to advocate for the rights of students with disabilities within a supportive environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with special education laws and improving educational outcomes for children in need. Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice and representation in special education matters, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. Conduct thorough legal research to support cases related to special education law and regulatory compliance. Draft and review legal documents such as letters of advocacy, settlement agreements, and judicial pleadings. Negotiate with school districts to resolve disputes and secure appropriate educational services for clients. Represent clients in administrative hearings, mediation, and court proceedings as necessary. Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and other professionals to understand and advocate for the needs of children. Stay current with legislative changes and advancements in special education law to ensure best advocacy practices. Required and Preferred Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in education law, specifically special education. Strong knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and relevant California state laws. Excellent negotiation and litigation skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with legal research tools and document management software.
