Special Education Teacher

About the role

Framework is partnering with Fauquier County Public Schools to hire multiple Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. These full-time, in-person contractor roles support elementary students in a small, supportive classroom environment. The teacher-to-student ratio is 3:8. Positions are available in preschool, elementary, middle school, and secondary settings.

• Two preschool Special Education Teachers
• Two elementary Special Education Teachers for standard curriculum with resource and inclusion support
• One elementary Special Education Teacher for a standard curriculum Autism classroom with high-functioning students
• One middle school Special Education Teacher for standard curriculum
• Two secondary Special Education Teachers for standard curriculum

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support for students with Autism.
• Implement and track IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers.
• Use evidence-based strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field; a Master’s is preferred.
• Valid Virginia Special Education license or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience working with students with Autism or developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and behavior management skills.
