Station Keeper Maintenance Person

The Boght Community Fire District is seeking a dependable, motivated, and community-minded individual to join our team as a full-time Station Keeper/Maintenance Person.

This position plays an important role in keeping our fire stations, grounds, equipment, and apparatus in top condition for our volunteer firefighters and the residents we proudly serve.

POSITION DETAILS
• Full-time — 40 hours per week
• Starting pay: $20/hour, based on experience

QUALIFICATIONS
• 21 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Relevant maintenance experience preferred
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs
• Basic computer proficiency
• Ability to lift 70 lbs. or more
• Current active volunteer firefighter status
• Valid NYS Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• CPR/AED certification

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain district buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Perform custodial duties, including mopping, vacuuming, window cleaning, and general cleaning
• Assist with setup and breakdown for meetings and events
• Clean, fuel, maintain, and transport fire apparatus and equipment
• Support community outreach activities
• Help ensure our facilities and equipment are ready to serve our firefighters and community when needed
