Street Maintenance Worker

The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Application for the following position: Role and Responsibilities: To perform various duties as instructed relating to the maintenance of roads and drainage systems. Work tasks include street sweeping, cleaning, and repairing road cracks, installing street signs, traffic control, storm draining, and ditch maintenance. Equipment necessary to be operated to include said duties, including but not limited to, pickup trucks, small and large dump trucks, various street equipment, chain saws, brush chippers, and street sweeper. Minimum Requirements: 1 year progressive experience in streets maintenance, and storm drainage cleaning, and the ability to perform labor-intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling, and pushing of 50 lbs., or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Physical. Must possess a valid Texas Class C Driver's License. High School/GED and any certifications related to streets preferred. Salary: $4,85 per hr/ $30,888.00 annually – start pay Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (Subject to Dept.
