Structural Steel Detailer

About the role

Struvek is a US-registered structural, civil and BIM engineering firm supporting AEC teams on industrial, commercial and data center projects.

We're looking for a detailer who turns engineering intent into fabrication-ready steel.

Tasks

• Build accurate 3D steel models in Tekla Structures from structural drawings and specs
• Produce shop drawings, assembly and erection drawings, anchor bolt plans and BOMs
• Detail connections, platforms, stairs, handrails, ladders and miscellaneous metals
• Review structural and architectural drawings; flag conflicts and prepare RFIs
• Verify welds, bolts, material grades, piece marks and quantities
• Self-check models and drawings before release; incorporate revisions and comments
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and fabrication teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of structural steel detailing experience
• Hands-on Tekla Structures (Advance Steel or SDS2 a plus)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Solid knowledge of AISC standards, welding and bolted connections
• Ability to read structural, architectural and MEP drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Clear written English for RFIs and team communication
• Nice to have: Experience with industrial steel, pipe racks or data center structures
• Nice to have: Revit or Navisworks exposure
• Nice to have: Experience checking other detailers' work
• Nice to have: Familiarity with OSHA requirements for stairs, rails and access systems

Pay

• $60,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience
