Job description
Trainer Vacancy—Chess Coach
Education Qualifications:
• Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Chess Coaching, Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field.
Experience:
• Minimum of 1–2 years of coaching or practical experience in chess.
Additional:
• Experience in training school-level or youth chess players.
• Strong knowledge of chess techniques, rules, training methods, and player development.
Management:
• Conduct chess coaching sessions focusing on technical skills, training methods, and game strategies.
• Prepare lesson plans and mentor players progressively, encouraging learning and improvement.
Safeguarding:
• Maintain discipline and create a positive, learner-centred training environment.
Other:
• Support player development through regular practice sessions and assessments.
• Ensure the coach and team upkeep of equipment while fostering sportsmanship and teamwork among players.
