Unit Manager - Medical Ward

HOSPITAL GROUP KIMBERLEY THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality Assurance care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multidisciplinary team. In accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / her unit. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure that your unit is providing care, correct, effective quality patient care in line with clinical governance strategy of the hospital and private provider practice • Ensure the patient’s unit’s quality and patient satisfaction and stakeholder contribution • Provide and ensure monitoring quality indicators and clinical data including all relevant patient information • Coordinate with stakeholders on the unit’s performance • Ensure that the unit has established policies and procedures • Ensure staff development on the unit • Prepare reports and ensure the unit’s performance REQUIREMENTS: • Relevant qualification with relevant management experience • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional nurse • Compliance with the SANC code for a registered nurse and all applicable regulations • 3 years management experience • Shift working experience • QMR or Quality management experience • Competency in unit management • Advanced Computer Literacy READY TO MAKE AN IMPACT?
