Job description
About the role
Contract project supporting nLIGHT.
Tasks
- Lead technical execution of a SolidWorks PDM and BOM standardization project.
- Manage configuration separation and engineering data restructuring.
- Coordinate part numbering, classification, and documentation standards.
- Oversee BOM and parent-child relationship updates.
- Review completed work and coordinate technical questions with engineering.
- Perform hands-on CAD/PDM updates while leading the project.
Requirements
- Must be legally able to work in the United States.
- Approximately 7+ years of mechanical CAD, engineering data, or configuration management experience.
- Strong hands-on SolidWorks and PDM experience.
- Experience with complex assemblies, BOM restructuring, and configuration management.
- Knowledge of revision control, manufacturing ERP/PDM alignment, and engineering documentation.
- D365 exposure preferred.
- Aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, optics, or electromechanical experience is a plus.
Schedule
- Contract project.
- Target project launch: ASAP, no later than November 30, 2026.
Pay
- Proposed W2 Pay: $65–$85 per hour
