Airport Safety Spotter

About the role

Ablemkr Work is seeking a dedicated ground spotter for workers handling aerial lifts and elevated equipment. The project is approximately six months, with full-time night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the work area for pedestrians, vehicles, equipment, overhead hazards, and other safety concerns.
• Maintain clear communications with lift operators and crew members.
• Alert workers immediately when unsafe conditions or potential hazards are identified.
• Help maintain a controlled and safe work zone around active lift operations.
• Follow project, contractor, OSHA, and airport safety requirements.
• Remain attentive and focused throughout the shift.
• Immediately report safety incidents, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work full-time night shifts for the duration of the approximately six-month project.
• Must be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active construction/airport environment.
• Must be able to stand and remain alert for extended periods.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with workers and supervisors.
• Must comply with all required PPE and jobsite safety procedures.
• Must successfully complete the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport badging/clearance process before beginning work.
• Must be available to start ASAP once badging is completed and approved.
