A growing legal practice is hiring attorneys to help build its individual bankruptcy and student loan debt relief practice. The team is looking for attorneys licensed in Florida, Texas, New York, Arizona, Michigan, Illinois, or Georgia who are interested in living and working in Puerto Rico.
This is an opportunity to join at the launch of a new practice, work directly with its leadership team, and help shape how it serves clients. The office is in Hato Rey, near San Juan. This is an in-office position, and relocation to Puerto Rico is required.
What you’ll doHandle individual Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.Work with clients on debt relief options, including student loan matters.Help develop the practice as it begins taking on clients.Collaborate with the leadership team, other U.S. attorneys, and experienced student loan debt relief counsel.
What they are looking forAn active law license in FL, TX, NY, AZ, MI, IL or GA. Admission in more than one is a strong plus.Some experience with individual bankruptcy matters.Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage work independently in a growing practice.Student loan debt relief experience is welcome but not required; training and subject matter support will be available.A Puerto Rico law license and Spanish fluency are not required.
