As a Client Accounting Advisor, you'll serve as a trusted financial partner to multiple clients, managing day-to-day accounting and providing valuable insight into their financial performance, with a primary focus on clients operating under Puerto Rico Act 60 tax incentive decrees.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as a key accounting contact for Act 60 decree holders, supporting compliance with reporting, audit, and annual report requirementsMonitor and document client adherence to Act 60 decree conditions, including employment thresholds, investment requirements, and charitable contribution obligationsManage day-to-day accounting operations for assigned clientsProcess and oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash flow activityPrepare weekly, bi-weekly, and/or Month-End Financial Statements and ForecastsReconcile General Ledger activity and ensure data accuracyBuild and maintain client relationships through proactive, timely communicationAnalyze financial trends and flag opportunities for growth and efficiencySupport job costing, budgeting, and project profitability reportingAssist in implementing automation tools and process improvementsWork with software like QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Bill.com, and Fathom
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2+ years of experience in public accounting or similar roleWorking knowledge of Puerto Rico Act 60 tax incentive programs — including Individual Investors Act (Chapter 2), Export Services (Chapter 3), and related decree compliance requirements — strongly preferredWorking knowledge of GAAPStrong Excel and Microsoft Office skillsStrong communication skills and client-facing confidenceHighly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learnExperience with job and project accounting, commission tracking, or property management systems is a plusFamiliarity with QuickBooks Online & Bill.com required
