About the role
Chino Valley Medical Center is a 112-bed community hospital established in 1972. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the assigned unit.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations.
- Prepare, conduct and/or oversee department orientation and personnel training.
- Communicate with staff, physicians and administration, both verbally and in writing.
- Be responsible and accountable for staff quality and department functions during the assigned shift.
- Assist the Department Director with daily unit operations by directing, supervising and evaluating personnel, and ensuring proper use of time, equipment and staff.
