Construction Manager

Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesManage and oversee civil construction projects from commencement through completion.Provide construction management and inspection services.Conduct regular job-site inspections and document construction progress.Confirm completed work conforms to approved construction plans, specifications and applicable standards.Coordinate with contractors, developers, owners, engineers and government agencies.Review contractor schedules, progress and project documentation.Identify construction issues and coordinate appropriate resolutions.Review and manage change orders.Review contractor pay applications and project quantities for accuracy.Monitor project costs, schedules and overall progress.Attend construction meetings and communicate project status.Prepare field reports, inspection documentation and other project records.Help resolve field/design conflicts and coordinate with the engineering/design team.Ensure construction activities comply with applicable local, state and project requirements.Assist with project closeout and final acceptance.ExperienceConstruction management experience on civil/site-development/infrastructure projects.Experience with construction inspection and contractor coordination.Experience reviewing plans, specifications and construction documents.Experience with change orders, pay applications and project documentation.Experience working with municipalities, developers and contractors is valuable.Technical knowledgeCivil/site constructionEarthwork/gradingStormwater/drainageUtilitiesRoadway/site improvementsErosion and sediment controlConstruction plans/specificationsQuantity tracking and project documentationEducationBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
