Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

P repare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have O perate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times M onitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure A ssist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures A ccountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images R esponsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene P articipate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP) M aintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the Am erican Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT)

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required. Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT. Radiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State Effective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is required. Must maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire. Proficient computer skills.
