About the role
Benítez Ramos & Associates LLC is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Electrical Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership and support the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects.
The role leads the design and development of electrical systems, coordinates project deliverables, provides technical guidance to engineering staff, and ensures compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards. It requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, sound judgment, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for electrical engineering projects from concept through design, construction documentation, and project completion.
- Lead and coordinate the design, analysis, and development of electrical systems for a variety of projects.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, technical reports, and other project documentation for accuracy, quality, and code compliance.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, client requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate electrical design requirements with Architecture, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and other disciplines.
- Support project planning, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing needs, and technical deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify technical, coordination, schedule, or resource issues.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to engineers, designers, and junior team members.
- Participate in internal design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, utilities, and regulatory agencies as required.
- Support responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and other construction administration activities.
- Assist in developing technical approaches, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
