Equipment Operator Crew Lead

Higher Ground Land Management is looking for an experienced, dependable person who can operate equipment, lead a small crew, and help run projects from start to finish. Our work includes excavation, grading, drainage, shoreline riprap, retaining walls, land clearing and site preparation throughout the Birmingham area. We’re looking for someone who: • Has experience operating excavators and skid steers • Understands grading, drainage and proper material placement • Can follow a scope of work and keep a project moving • Takes care of equipment and works safely • Shows up consistently and communicates well • Is willing to get out of the machine and help with hands-on work • Has reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license Experience with shoreline work, retaining walls, hauling or supervising a crew is a plus. 💵 Pay based on experience and demonstrated ability. 📈 Opportunity to take on more responsibility as we grow.
