Fire Suppression Manager

About the role

Summit Fire & Security is hiring a Fire Suppression Manager to oversee the management, operations, and financial performance of the Fire Suppression department. The role focuses on achieving objectives for profitability, growth, and overall performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fire extinguisher inspections and services; pre-engineered inspections, services, and installs; and fire alarm and security inspections and services.
• Manage departmental financial performance, including P&L statements, gross revenue, gross margin, and overhead.
• Communicate and strategize with management about financial progress, growth strategies, human capital requirements, and office needs.
• Ensure proper workflow and paperwork, field work, quality assurance and control, and safe work within local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Improve operations and processes to achieve departmental objectives.
• Maintain staffing levels using company procedures and policies, bid projections, and Human Resources for talent requirements.
• Oversee the use, maintenance, and repair of company assets, including equipment, tools, supplies, and fleet, coordinating with corporate Purchasing and Fleet department.
• Manage work in the assigned area through spot checks, ride-a-longs, and ongoing training. Review recent field work for service quality, code and standard compliance, and customer satisfaction; ride with field Technicians for training and to improve customer care and quality control.
