About the role

The Boston Beer Company is hiring a part-time host at Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The host welcomes guests and coordinates the flow and seating of patrons throughout the building.

Responsibilities

• Address guest compliments or complaints and relay the information to management.
• Maintain an appearance suitable to guests’ expectations and compliant with company policy.
• Greet guests, identify seating plans, direct them to the bar or a table, set up advertising displays, and arrange merchandise in the retail area to promote sales.
• Track reservations and private events taking place each day.
• Communicate with staff and managers about business situations and requests.
• Suggestively sell merchandise; wrap or bag merchandise.
• Clean shelves, the host stand area, surrounding tables, and merchandise areas and shelves.
• Maintain the wait list.
• Answer customers’ questions about the location, history, and merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Up to one year of related experience or training desired.
• Regular walking throughout the establishment and regularly standing are required.
