In this critical role, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of both Windows and Linux server environments. You will ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across our corporate systems while providing escalated technical support for complex infrastructure challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server versions and Linux distributions (CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu Enterprise) across physical and virtual systems.Identity & Access Control: Administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and manage user identity controls across hybrid cross-platform network systems.Virtualization & Storage: Provision, monitor, and scale enterprise workloads using virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere or Hyper-V) and manage connected storage arrays (NAS/SAN).Security & Compliance: Implement OS hardening practices, maintain standard system access baselines, and oversee regular vulnerability management, host endpoint protection, and patch deployments.Backup & Disaster Recovery: Define, execute, and periodically test comprehensive enterprise backup solutions and system recovery plans.Monitoring & Optimization: Set up and monitor system performance metrics using enterprise tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog) to proactively address bottlenecks and minimize downtime.Advanced Escalation: Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for the Service Desk team to resolve deep OS, network, or server application infrastructure faults.Required QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience operating as an IT Systems Administrator or in an infrastructure infrastructure-engineering capacity.Education: Associate degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.OS Competency: Strong dual-proficiency in both Windows Server administration (IIS, Active Directory, GPOs) and Linux server administration (Bash scripting, package management, SSH, systemd).Networking Foundations: Solid grasp of network stack protocols including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN segmenting, Firewalls, and secure VPN routing.Automation: Practical experience automating routine administrative actions using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.Problem Solving: Superior root-cause analysis skills and the capacity to coordinate system recovery efforts under tight operational timelines.Work Arrangement: Must be fully available to work physically on-site.Preferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or configuration management automation tooling like Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.Familiarity managing public or hybrid cloud tenants within AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP environments.
