Manufacturing Specialist

The Manufacturing Specialist contract role is a remote position responsible for supporting the design, optimization, and documentation of manufacturing processes that align with micro1’s RL environment requirements. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with manufacturing engineers to refine workflows, analyzing operations data to identify process improvements, and translating real-world manufacturing procedures into clear, structured information for use in simulated environments. The Manufacturing Specialist will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure processes meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards, and will assist in creating training materials and operational guidelines. This role also involves communicating status updates, participating in remote meetings, and adhering to project timelines and deliverables throughout the contract period.

Qualifications

Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Operations, with practical experience in process design, optimization, or implementation.
Hands-on experience in Manufacturing environments, including familiarity with production workflows, quality control, and standard operating procedures.
Effective Communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in Training, including developing or delivering process-related documentation, work instructions, or training materials.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort working with data and process metrics to drive improvements.
Understanding of or interest in AI, automation, and reinforcement learning environments is beneficial.
Relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field.
