Network Test Automation Engineer IIIWork Model: Hybrid — average 2 days per week in office
Position SummaryWe are seeking a Network Test Automation Engineer III to validate, test, troubleshoot, and improve networking products and solutions. This role combines networking fundamentals, software testing, Python automation, and product validation.
Candidates with strong test automation and software testing backgrounds who are interested in expanding their networking expertise are encouraged to apply.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for networking products.Perform feature, system, integration, and regression testing.Troubleshoot and debug networking and software issues.Develop and maintain Python automation scripts and test frameworks.Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects through resolution.Collaborate with Product Management, Development, Systems Engineering, and Quality teams.Validate networking reference designs and customer deployment scenarios.Support release-readiness and product-quality initiatives.Create technical documentation and validation reports.Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams.
Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.5+ years of relevant experience in networking, test automation, validation engineering, testing, or quality engineering.Hands-on Python programming or automation experience.Understanding of networking fundamentals.Experience with software testing and validation methodologies.Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and TCP/IP.Routing and switching experience.Network testing and validation experience.Test automation framework experience.Enterprise or data-center networking exposure.Linux and scripting experience.
Ideal CandidateA hands-on engineer with a strong Python and test automation foundation, solid troubleshooting skills, and an interest or background in networking. Deep networking expertise is preferred but not required if the candidate has strong automation/testing skills and the ability to learn networking technologies quickly.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
