About the role
Pampa Regional Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, also referred to as a Radiology Tech I, X-Ray Technologist, or X-ray Tech in Diagnostic Radiology. This per diem position involves conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures and operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. The images help healthcare providers diagnose medical conditions and formulate treatment plans.
Shifts and hours are variable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations, following departmental protocols.
- Check, calibrate, and troubleshoot X-ray equipment as needed to ensure it functions properly and images meet quality standards.
- Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and support their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history.
- Stay updated on radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images.
Requirements
- State licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required.
- ARRT-R required.
- Current BCLS (AHA).
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
- Proficient computer skills.
- At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
