Reentry Community Coordinator

About the role

Challenge II Change is seeking a Reentry Community Coordinator to strengthen and sustain CTJC’s reentry ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Programs and Supportive Services, the role focuses on building and maintaining community partnerships aligned with CTJC’s values and movement goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships.
• Connect participants to resources and services.
• Support program outreach and engagement.
• Maintain participant records.
• Represent CTJC in community spaces.
• Collaborate with internal team members on reentry initiatives.
• Contribute to the growth and sustainability of CTJC’s reentry program.

Requirements

• Lived experience and/or professional experience in reentry, community organizing, or related work.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Knowledge of community resources in Chicago.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to racial, social, and economic justice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Canva.

The schedule is part-time, 20 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in office at CTJC (6337 S. Woodlawn Ave, Chicago, IL 60637); Tuesday and Friday are work from home. Some evening and weekend availability may be required.
