RF Systems Engineer Antenna Fabrication and Test

About the role

ITERRA is building a system of record for low-altitude airspace. Its passive, edge-native RF and electro-optical sensing autonomously detects and classifies Group 1-3 UAS without relying on pre-loaded signature libraries. Detection is fused on the device, with no active emissions or cloud dependency. The system is intended for denied, degraded, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) environments.

You will report to the CTO and own the antenna boundary, from the air interface to the samples the SDR hands off, as well as the measurement function that proves the system works.

Responsibilities

• Build in-house antenna designs using sheet metal, 3D-printed structures, RF PCB, connectors, and phase-matched cabling.
• Measure S11, return loss, and bandwidth with a VNA.
• Measure gain and antenna patterns in a chamber or through open-field comparison, and report measured patterns rather than simulated ones.
• Own the RF front end, including filtering, LNA, and gain.
