About the role
Southwest Montana Veterans Home is seeking an Activities Aide to lead stimulating activities and help residents participate at their comfort level.
Responsibilities
- Lead crafts, music, games, exercise groups, and special events.
- Encourage and assist residents with participation at their comfort level.
- Escort residents to and from activities and help set up and clean up spaces.
- Document participation and support individualized care plans.
- Work with nursing, therapy, and dietary teams to create meaningful experiences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with seniors or caregiving is a plus.
- Friendly, patient, and creative personality, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to assist with mobility and activity setup.
- CPR/First Aid is helpful, or willingness to obtain it.
