Job description

About the role

JR Recruiting is partnering with a Fortune 500 global logistics leader to hire Associate Account Executives across seven offices. The role combines sales, service, and operations. You will learn the freight business, support a pod of experienced account executives, and build a portfolio of customers. The company provides structured training, a dedicated coach, and a clear promotion path.

The first year begins with about 70% operational work during months 1–3. After a three-week structured training program, you will work with a coach and support your pod by quoting, building loads, activating shipments, and supporting customers. You will also begin warm outreach to roughly 50 dormant accounts. During months 3–9, your time shifts toward building your own portfolio as you earn trust with customers and your team. Advancement is tied to production milestones, and most people take 18 to 24 months to reach full productivity.

This is not a remote role or a pure sales seat on day one. The role suits people who want to learn the business before running their own.

Responsibilities

  • Convert warm and dormant leads into active customer relationships.
  • Build trust with small and mid-size shippers and understand their transportation needs.
  • Provide pricing using established tools, processes, and market knowledge.

  • Execute customer-facing operations.
