Job description
Urgent Role: AWS Engineer
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Career Level: Senior Associate L1
Experience Required: 9+ years
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute cloud migration strategies to AWS.
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Modernize and deploy Spring Boot Microservices on AWS (ECS, EC2, Auto Scaling Groups).
- Implement secure and scalable architecture leveraging AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch.
- Set up robust monitoring and alerting solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Optimize application performance, availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Development teams to ensure seamless deployments and integrations.
- Drive automation for CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues in cloud environments.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud architecture and services: ECS, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling Group, and OpenSearch.
- Proven experience in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) for AWS provisioning; CloudFormation stack experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot framework and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining containerized workloads (Docker, ECS).
- Experience with Prometheus metrics collection and Grafana dashboards for monitoring and observability.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar).
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation: $70 per hour
