ATS is hiring an AWS Engineer in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This urgent, non-remote project role is suited to a senior cloud professional with 9+ years of experience and a Senior Associate L1 career level.

Key responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute cloud migration strategies to AWS.
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Modernize and deploy Spring Boot microservices on AWS, including ECS, EC2, and Auto Scaling Groups.
- Build secure, scalable architectures using DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch.
- Set up monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Optimize application performance, availability, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and development teams on deployments and integrations.
- Automate CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployments.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues in cloud environments.
Qualifications and technical skills
- Strong AWS architecture and services experience, including ECS, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling Groups, and OpenSearch.
- Proven Terraform Infrastructure as Code experience; CloudFormation experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining Docker container workloads on ECS.
- Experience with Prometheus metrics collection and Grafana dashboards.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
