Backend Engineer Annotator Job in Lagos, Nigeria

Odixcity consulting is looking for a talented Backend Engineer Annotator to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This full-time role offers the opportunity to develop and maintain backend systems that enhance our operational efficiency and client service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components and APIs for diverse applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through efficient database design.
• Implement containerization using Docker to streamline deployment processes.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in team discussions to uphold best coding practices.
• Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities in backend systems.
• Document engineering processes and share knowledge to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient in backend development with strong skills in APIs and Docker.
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in backend development roles.
• Understanding of RESTful services and microservices architecture is a plus.
