Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort. Monitor vital signs and patient responses intraoperatively and in post-anesthesia recovery to detect and respond to complications promptly. Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to implement and continuously evaluate individualized care plans. Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies according to established protocols and patient needs. Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups to support optimal patient recovery trajectories. Document all patient care activities accurately and report any significant changes in patient condition immediately. Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and post-discharge care to enhance patient engagement. What We're Looking For Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in surgical and cardiovascular nursing environments. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate patient documentation. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree for enhanced clinical knowledge and career advancement. Experience in travel nursing roles demonstrating adaptability and quick integration into new clinical settings. Additional certifications related to perioperative nursing or cardiovascular care.
