Job description
GQR Healthcare is hiring a CVOR Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in Oceanside, California. Join a collaborative cardiovascular operating room team and provide skilled nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses during surgery and post-anesthesia recovery.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other care team members to implement and evaluate care plans.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies according to protocols.
- Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records and promptly report changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and recovery expectations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least two years of surgical and cardiovascular nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team.
