Cybersecurity Engineer I – WAF/F5

About the role

Support enterprise cybersecurity operations and application security initiatives.

Tasks

• Administer, configure, and maintain F5 Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Application Security Manager (ASM) solutions.
• Analyze application security requirements and implement appropriate security controls.
• Develop, tune, and optimize WAF security policies, signatures, and protection profiles.
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot application security events and protection mechanisms.
• Perform HTTP/TLS analysis and network traffic analysis to identify potential security threats.
• Integrate F5 security solutions with existing enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Support application protection initiatives in DoD and federal environments.
• Ensure security configurations align with applicable DoD cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant IT experience.
• F5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) – Application Security Manager (ASM).
