Job description

CASA of Hidalgo County, Inc. The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of CASA of Hidalgo County, Inc. and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, fiscal oversight, strategic direction, and operations, community representation, and strategic direction of the organization.

The Executive Director works under the authority and direction of the Board of Directors and ensures that CASA fulfills its mission to advance for the best interests of children in foster care through direct community outreach. This position provides leadership to staff, supports the Board of Directors, oversees program quality and compliance, provides financial support and community partnerships, and ensures the organization operates in compliance with applicable laws, manages funding requirements, and ensures compliance with internal policies and best practices.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 10 years’ experience in social work, psychology, education, business, public administration, nonprofit management, human services, or related field.
- Minimum of three years of management, supervision, nonprofit administration, public service, civil welfare, volunteer management, or related leadership experience.
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations, boards of directors, grants, budgets, community partnerships, and program oversight.

Additional and Skills
- Strong writing and oral communication skills, including public speaking.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, board members, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to use computers and other office technology.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-organizational communication.
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
