Requirements

• 5+ years of production backend software engineering experience
• Strong Java 17/21 and Spring Boot expertise
• Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate and Spring Batch
• REST APIs and reactive endpoints
• PostgreSQL database design and optimization
• Apache Kafka or AWS MSK
• Message ordering, retries, Dead-Letter Topics (DLTs), idempotency and consumer group rebalancing
• Schema evolution and event-driven microservices
• Angular 15+, TypeScript and RxJS
• Responsive and accessible UI development
• Angular Material, PrimeNG or Tailwind CSS
• AWS, Docker and containerized deployments
• GitHub Actions and AWS CodeBuild
• JUnit 5 and Spring Boot Test
• Playwright for end-to-end testing
• Resilience4j, circuit breakers, rate limiting and fallback patterns
• OAuth2, JWT and AWS Secrets Manager
• Preferred: Angular NgRx state management
• Preferred: Spring WebFlux and reactive programming
• Preferred: Avro, JSON Schema and Confluent Schema Registry
• Preferred: Playwright automation experience
• Preferred: Transportation, rail, fleet operations or logistics domain experience

Schedule

• This role is primarily backend-focused (75–80%), with frontend development (20–25%).
