General Counsel Job in Singapore - Legal Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Counsel to join our legal team in Singapore. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving our legal strategy within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will provide invaluable legal advice and support to ensure compliance with regulations while protecting the interests of our company in a complex market.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal guidance on a broad range of issues, including contract management, corporate governance, and risk management.
• Lead negotiations and draft a variety of legal agreements to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution cases, collaborating with external counsel as necessary.
• Oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to senior management on regulatory affairs.
• Foster a culture of legal awareness and compliance across the organization by working closely with internal teams.
• Monitor legislative changes that may impact the company and report updates to the executive team.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree.
• Proven expertise in negotiation, compliance, and litigation.
• Experience in contract management and corporate governance.
• Strong legal research and advisory skills.
• Familiarity with risk management practices.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as in-house counsel or in a similar legal role.
• Professional certifications in compliance or corporate governance are a plus.
