About the role
Cali Connect Resource Hub is seeking an instructional aide for horticulture classes.
Responsibilities
- Present topics such as plant reproduction, botany, plant physiology, soils, and soil conservation to students in horticulture classes.
- Locate and compile information and prepare exhibits, demonstrations, equipment, and other materials used in horticulture.
- Tutor individual students or groups in subjects requiring basic and advanced knowledge of horticulture.
Requirements
- Graduate from high school or provide evidence of equivalent educational proficiency, and meet one of these education options: completion of a semester units or 72 quarter units from a recognized college or university, or possession of an associate or higher degree from a recognized college or university.
- Pass the District Proficiency Test and the Instructional Assistance Test.
- Have one year of paid experience in horticulture or an equivalent combination of horticulture or a related area of work experience and/or work experience.
