Interim Financial Controller

About the role

Venteon Finance is seeking an Interim Controller for a leading company in the metro Detroit area. The role reports to the Corporate Leadership Team and supports the finance and operational accounting teams, working with the CFO to provide accounting leadership, support and assistance.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting clean-up initiatives and accounting process development.
• Support revenue recognition, inventory management and inventory analysis.
• Assist the CFO in assessing, revamping and streamlining current accounting functions and activities.
• Work with the CFO to ensure standardized accounting procedures and processes.
• Lead and provide supporting documentation to internal and external auditors.
• Manage ongoing accounting activities and reporting, providing guidance and assistance.
• Manage accounting clean-up work and implement operational accounting changes within the General Ledger where needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CMA or CPA designation preferred.
• Prior Controller or Operational Finance experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Experience in a multi-site, multi-division environment.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite or Sage Intacct is beneficial.
