Marine Mechanical Assistant

Join our team at Advanced Marine Services Australia in Hastings. We’re looking for someone with basic mechanical knowledge and a good hands-on attitude to help dismantle outboard engines for parts.

THE ROLE INCLUDES:
• Dismantling outboard engines for parts
• Inspecting and assessing components
• Carrying out basic service and repair work on the engines and parts being dismantled
• Servicing and repairing trim/tilt units
• Gearbox servicing and repairs
• Cleaning and preparing engine components ready for sale
• General workshop duties

Marine experience would be great, but isn’t essential. If you have basic mechanical knowledge, can use tools properly and are willing to learn, we’re happy to teach the marine side of things.

This will primarily be a part-time position, however there is the opportunity to work full-time initially while our workload is high, then move back to part-time depending on workload.

We’re also happy to hear from someone looking for work over the school holidays who has the right mechanical ability and attitude.
