Job description

USPI Cypress Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Materials Manager to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a unit work environment that reflects USPI’s EDGE™, performance improvement and customer service program consistent with the Corporation’s Mission Statement.Maintains adequate inventory levels by checking shelves and automated inventory system and establishes par levels for all supplies.Ensures utilization of USPI national agreements.Interfaces with appropriate departments to ensure proper placement, follow up and delivery of orders.Interacts with sales representatives resolving issues and problems related to supplies or the delivery of supplies.Establishes and maintains proper document flow and information updates for the automated inventory system.Receives all incoming supply and equipment items.Checks supply dated items and regularly rotates stock.Implements and maintains all facets of the automated inventory system.Conducts quarterly physical inventory of implants and inventory items.Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost-conscious manner, complying with all USPI's policies, procedures and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent.Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment requiredKnowledge of computer inventory management systems, various software programs and medical products.Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
