Responsibilities

• Design and document components and complex assemblies.
• Develop and document engineering specifications and material requirements as needed. Process ECNs and follow established document control procedures.
• Plan component- and system-level experiments to verify and validate engineering designs against product requirements, and design unique R&D tests.
• Analyze and resolve design challenges and quality issues using engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, statistical methods, design of experiments, simulation and calculation.
• Prepare documentation for designs, including drawings, inspection requirements, calibration procedures and work instructions, along with knowledge briefs, white papers and engineering reports.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization, coordinate engineering activity with Sloan partners and design sites, and participate in setting design standards.
