Job description
Willamette Valley Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Medical Assistant for a part-time, on-site position in McMinnville, Oregon. Support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while helping provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients, record medical histories, and take vital signs.
- Explain examination procedures and help patients feel comfortable.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and timely electronic health record documentation.
- Coordinate appointments, answer phones, and assist with front office duties.
- Prepare instruments and supplies and support medical staff during procedures.
- Contribute to projects that improve patient care and clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Strong patient care and customer service skills.
- Comfort using computer systems and electronic health record software.
- At least one year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
