Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical laboratory team in Columbus, GA. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field from a NAACLS- or ABHES-accredited program and at least one year of clinical laboratory experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in one or more areas including hematology, chemistry, cytology, histology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by following established protocols and quality control procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship is required.
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field from NAACLS- or ABHES-accredited program.
- Minimum one year of experience in a clinical laboratory or in one or more specialized sections.
- Certification by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
