Job description
Logic planet is hiring a Network Engineer for a contract role in Princeton, New Jersey. In this on-site position, you’ll help maintain stable, secure, and high-performing network operations in a collaborative IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement network configurations and architectures based on business requirements.
- Manage firewall settings and security protocols to protect network infrastructure.
- Configure and use routing protocols to support efficient data flow and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and restore service promptly.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues to improve operational processes.
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate network inventory.
- Monitor network performance and prepare reports on efficiency and improvement opportunities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency with LAN/WAN, VPNs, and DHCP.
- Experience managing firewalls across various platforms.
- Knowledge of routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
- CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or another industry-standard certification preferred.
