About the role
Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist Program Coordinator for its Department of Pharmacy. Under the direction of the Specialty Pharmacy Manager, the pharmacist assists with specialty pharmacy programs and is accountable to the Specialty Pharmacy for decisions affecting patients and consumers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and overseeing Specialty Pharmacy programs, including operational and clinical decision-making aspects.
- Ensure required tasks are performed to maintain specialty pharmacy accreditations.
- Apply knowledge of disease state management involving Specialty Pharmacy medications.
Requirements
- Pharm.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the State of California.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology related to drug usage, common disease states and pathologies.
- Ability to comprehend patient medical management plans and apply current pharmacological and biopharmaceutical principles when selecting and using drug products in a clinical setting.
