Product Engineer

Job Title: Automotive Product EngineerLocation: Detroit, MIEmployment Type: Full-Time | On-Site
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Product Engineer to support the development and launch of automotive mechanical and comfort-related products.Key ResponsibilitiesLead product development from concept through production launch.Design and improve mechanical components, seating systems, comfort features, and related products.Create and update 3D models and drawings using CATIA, NX/UG, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.Support DFMEA, DVP&R, testing, validation, and design reviews.Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Suppliers, and Customers.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of automotive engineering or product development experience.Experience with automotive mechanical systems, seating, comfort features, or interior components.Proficiency with CATIA, NX/UG, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, validation, and production launch.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with automotive seating, seat mechanisms, thermal comfort, posture comfort, or related systems.Experience working with an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier.Experience supporting GM, Ford, Stellantis, or other North American OEMs.Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is preferred.
