Milanie Noriega is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncology Physician for a locum tenens assignment across various locations throughout the USA. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver expert radiation therapy to cancer patients, significantly impacting patient outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized radiation treatment plans.
- Administer radiation therapy while monitoring patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including medical oncologists, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and document treatment progress.
- Provide ongoing patient education and emotional support throughout the treatment journey.
- Participate actively in tumor boards and case discussions to contribute to treatment decisions.
- Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology and apply best practices in clinical care.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy and oncology patient care.
- Proficiency with software tools used in patient management and radiation treatment planning.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with modern radiation technologies and treatment modalities is highly preferred.
