Job description
About the role
Central Maine Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time role has 12-hour shifts, scheduled 3 x 12, in Emergency Services. The nurse provides direct patient care to diverse patient populations, including high-acuity cases, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Pay: $37.00–$51.28 per hour. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Eligibility and payout terms apply; details are discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and direct patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
- Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Communicate changes in a patient's clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptoms to the physician.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.
- Follow EMTALA regulations and report child or adult abuse to appropriate agencies and the Hospital Social Worker.
Requirements
- Experienced RNs with 2+ years of acute care experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus. New graduate RNs are eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
