Registered Nurse - Recovery

About the role

Landmark Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU. The 214-bed acute care hospital serves communities in northern Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients within the PACU scope of services.
• Coordinate post-operative care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, and direct and guide other personnel while maintaining PACU standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in a patient's clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results, and symptomatology.
• Work with other departments and co-workers to support quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow, and unit maintenance and organization.
• Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures; participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
• Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA).
