Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Support a high-priority infrastructure modernization initiative migrating enterprise workloads from VMware to Azure Local. Responsibilities include architecting & deploying Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI clusters, integrating Azure Local with Azure Arc, configuring VLANs, subnets, routing, DNS, load balancing & firewall policies, building Terraform IaC modules, automating infrastructure with PowerShell, Python & Bicep, executing migration of application servers, SQL databases & legacy VMs from vSphere to Azure Local, leading scheduled weekend cutovers, validation, troubleshooting & rollback, implementing backup/recovery workflows using Rubrik, and optimizing storage tiers and compute performance post-migration. Must have 8+ years Infrastructure / Cloud Engineering experience, strong VMware vCenter, ESXi, vMotion & DRS experience, hands-on Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI deployment & lifecycle management, strong TCP/IP, DNS, networking & enterprise firewall knowledge, experience with Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD, multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), Linux & Windows administration, scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash), cloud security, monitoring, backup & disaster recovery, DevOps, ITIL, ITSM/CMDB & SDLC. Major Plus: Rubrik backup/recovery, Azure Migrate, Zerto or Carbonite, Windows Server, Active Directory & SQL Server clustering, GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps, Palo Alto, Fortinet or Azure Firewall. Ideal candidate believes in automating everything, stays calm during high-pressure migrations, and creates runbooks for future automation.
