What You Will Do
Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. We are searching for a strategy and organizational senior consultant to help clients execute against their mission effectively and efficiently and work collaboratively with our clients to help them work through their most pressing challenges. From implementing new policies to standardizing operations across offices, we work side-by-side with government leaders to solve important problems.
We are seeking a management consultant with strong critical thinking skills, experience in client program support and/or organizational design, and a desire to manage clients as well as lead activities with the client engagement team and coach and mentor junior consultants as well as have responsibility for client engagement, solution implementation, and critical problem solving
Responsibilities
Lead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirementsDevelop detailed project schedules to monitor performanceIdentify and manage project risks and issuesDevelop detailed status reports for individual programsWork with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependenciesWork with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budgetLead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviewsProvide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff
What You Will Need
Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/universityThree (3+) plus years of management consulting experience, preferably within the public sectorStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problemsStrong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activitiesProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Ability to travelAbility to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office
What Would Be Nice To Have
PMP or other project or program management certificationExperience with federal program supportExperience with organizational redesign/restructuring supportExperience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organizationsExperience working with the Federal government
