About the role
Client: American Express (AMEX)
Requirements
- 8+ Years
- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, YugabyteDB, and SQL Server.
- Cloud databases: Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL/MySQL, Google Cloud SQL, and Spanner.
- AWS/GCP database administration.
- Python, Shell Scripting, Ansible, Terraform.
- GitHub, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Database performance tuning, replication, backup & recovery, and high availability.
- Monitoring tools: Grafana and DMC.
- 8+ years of hands-on DBA experience.
- Strong production troubleshooting and database optimization skills.
- Must be comfortable with a hybrid onsite work arrangement in Phoenix, AZ.
Schedule
- Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite, Day 1 onsite)
- Willingness to provide rotational weekend and off-hours support.
