Job description

About the role

Venteon is seeking a financial reporting analyst for an industry leader and employer of choice with headquarters in the Metro Detroit area. The analyst will contribute to the company’s financial success and assist with planning, organizing, and preparing external financial statements, SEC filings, and filings related to corporate transactions. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Consolidations and Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing the calendar for filings, including reviews by internal personnel, the disclosure committee, the audit committee, and external auditors.
  • Prepare external financial reporting, including financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging review, and other disclosures.
  • Coordinate the collection of supporting documentation from various departments to support accurate and timely reporting.
  • Work with external and internal auditors to provide information for quarterly reviews and annual audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an emphasis in finance or accounting.
  • 3-4+ years of public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
  • Experience with financial reporting, including financial statements, footnotes, XBRL tagging review, and other disclosures, is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
